To my dearest blogging ladies,
We have clearly dropped the ball on this beautiful site that used to be a source of such joy for us all. I am just as guilty, so would encourage all of us to dig deep into our stashes of wool, fabric, food, but most of all, stories, to tell a tale of success and/or failure in the world of hand-made!
The holiday season is upon us. Pick up those knitting needles, take the sewing stash out from under your bed, dust off the kitchenaid (my god...this is sounding waaaaaay too domestic), clean out your rifle, recall your perfect fly cast, tell us stories from the road, anecdotes from the desk, tales from the lab. I will vow to do the same. I've got a stash of stories that I've been too lazy to write-up. Let's do it!!!!
Also - who's up for a craft swap. The trivets were so fun, but so long ago. Who's in!?!?!? What should the deadline be? I'm assuming after Christmas? How about the end of January?
I miss you all and look forward to all the stories that are going to flood the pages of this little blog that has been quiet for too long!

I'm in for a swap... and have a story... but just asked to get story privileges on the brother site.. it is more suited to the science shoots and skins side of the blogging world. I do, however, have a story for this site as well... but need another few nights before it's complete. It will be here before Christmas though!
ReplyDeleteAnd YES to another swap... end Janurary/mid February would be good. Ideas?
Alana, you speak words of wisdom. I am whipping up a quilt right now, so that will be one from me. I also am working on a dinosaur tail for Cora's dinosaur birthday...along with a few other things, if I can get them done before Christmas. Then 2 more quilts are in line. This site does need some TLC.
ReplyDeleteAlso, a swap would be wonderful for me! My schedule is pretty open for crafting these days. :)
YES to a swap!!
ReplyDeleteI have no handmade tales as of late, but will post something this week. Let's get this going again!
Miss you all
xoxoxo
Um, I'm sorry Sascha, you're "whipping up" a quilt? As if a quilt is just as easy as a cake that you make from a box?
ReplyDeleteI (sort of) just started a new knitting project today. And by sort of I mean I sat for about an hour trying to figure out what the abbreviations for certain stiches meant by watching countless knitting videos. Linnea will attest to this. Hopefully it won't take too long once I figure it out!
Oh, and regards to swap. Late January or later works for me. Perhaps we can swap crafty/novel valentines? Not necessarily cards, but some sort of a "hi I love you friend!" gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you guys think about a calendar swap? It's something that we could probably all pull together pretty quickly (and I suppose the sooner the better since it's almost 2013)....I could really use a cute calendar for our house :)
